How are Gladiolus measured?
Gladiolas are graded by size, according to the circumference of the bulb. A bigger bulb contains more stored food energy to fuel the plant's growth.
A 12/14cm gladiolus bulb typically produces 2-3 stems. Smaller bulbs produce shorter plants with fewer stems. Planting large, high quality gladiolus bulbs will give you fuller plants with more flowers and a more beautiful garden.
