Tulip Lily Flowering Merlot

Very late blooming than other lily tulips rich color.

This is the third year I have ordered tulips from Longfield’s and I have not been disappointed yet! They are always a really good size and ship in a great condition. My only problem is every year I keep ordering more!!!!😂

This was my favorite tulip from the season! It bloomed for 3 weeks through wind, snow and heat in my 7a west Texas garden. Great color, huge blooms and strong steams.

The weather was a little odd this year in Chicago and warmer earlier than usual. This is a stellar lily tulip though. I really liked it.

I planted ten in Fall 2021. Merlot is perfection! Lily flowering but softly so. It’s blending with my whites, pinks, ivories - I cant wait to try it with strong colors next year as well. The Longfield Gardens bulbs for these tulips have even thrown a couple of little delicate side blooms off the same bulb as the large flower, so my ten bulbs gave me 10 large flowers and 2-3 little extras for bud vases. I originally planned to just buy white and pink tulips for my back garden last year, and I am so glad I threw in this darker burgundy/wine colored tulip as a last minute thought. It truly makes the whites and pinks look even more intense and elegant.
