Forelock’s egg-shaped, chocolate-maroon flower heads have lots of personality and suggest all sorts of creative pairings. As the flowers start bloom, the buds change from green to maroon, then open to display fuzzy white stamens that give the blossoms a frosted look. Spent flowers stand upright, creating a spiky topknot. It's a look that's slightly wacky and completely wonderful.
