Red Pearl is richer and darker in color than any other amaryllis. Its broad, velvety petals are deep crimson, overlaid with burgundy and maroon. Glittering golden stamens complete the picture. Picked this one as a last min. indulgence and I'm so pleased that it did. The deep vivid ruby color is outstanding and makes such a statement in the room. planning on grabbing another one next yr to plant with my 2 Picasso for a elegant group planter.

I can't get over the color! It just oozes sensuality and seduction. Every time I look at this flower Roxanne from Moulin Rouge pops into my head and I'm obsessed!

This is the first time I've ever grown an amaryllis and the flower stalks are much bigger than I imagined, coming in around 3 feet tall. Each bulb gave me 2-3 flower stalks. The only challenge I've had is the leaves wanting to flop over, but I think that is mostly because I have a north facing condo and don't get as much light as I think they would like.
