Crinums are carefree, summer-blooming bulbs with a wonderful fragrance. In the southern U.S they are dependable perennials, and often found growing around old cellar holes. Plant these members of the amaryllis family in the garden or in containers. In zones 6 and colder, the bulbs need to be brought indoors for the winter.
