Like velvet and lace, these De Caen anemones bring out the best in each other. Both have satiny petals and contrasting centers, on sturdy stems that are perfect for cutting. Lacy foliage complements the flowers. Plant where they can be admired up close, and be sure to grow extras for long-lasting bouquets. In areas with mild winters (zones 7-11), anemones should be planted in fall for early spring flowers. Provide protection from freezing temperatures. In colder zones, plant bulbs in early spring for early summer flowers.
