I purchased several varieties of ranunculus and anemones from Longfield Gardens. I used resource materials on their site to learn how to grow them. The result was a resounding success! Over two months of fabulous blooms. Loads of vases of cut flowers. I live in east Texas, zone 8b. They began blooming around march 1st. Longfield Gardens is a great source for corms.

I got a few gorgeous flowers this year! 😊 I love the look of these little flowers. I don't think they did as well as they could have since I planted late. So I'm very excited to see how they do next year!

Not the best.

I followed planting instructions & let them root in a tray with slightly damp soil. I placed them in a cool dark area. While the seedlings did emerge successfully, I got very few blooms after planting them outside.

I received 25 corms in the package and only two of them actually grew and bloomed. Very disappointed. I had also ordered the blue anemones and they grew and bloomed perfectly.

Soaking them in lukewarm water for 4 hours before planting (no longer!) will make it easier for the sprouts to emerge.
