Crocosmia Lucifer

This is a very vibrant and beautiful color. This is a great one to add if you like hummingbirds. They were attracted to it. The stems were sturdy and didn’t flop over. I’m excited to watch them grow over the coming years.

Grows like the Dickens in our sandy-loamy soil, loves the heat, grows well with lilies.

A must-have for my garden! I have purchased these two years in a row. The plants may take a bit of time to get going in my zone 5 garden but the buds are very cool looking and when they bloom they are absolutely stunning. The flowers are a bold scarlet and arch gracefully along a walkway - will continue to add more in other areas of my garden.

This is my first trial with crocosmia. I have been intrigued by this flower since I first saw it 6 years ago. I planted the 12 bulbs in mid May. They are currently blooming; however only 3 of the plants have bloom. I am unsure if there will be more blooms next year. Either way this flower is beautiful and the hummingbirds have been checking out these red beauties.
