Tulip Fosteriana Exotic Emperor

So beautiful that I keep going out to look at them

These were a bright spot in my spring garden. They had such large blooms.

They have been described as peony-like and to me that holds true! I enjoyed the mix with the Late Negrita double variety shown here.

Exotic Emperor is one of my favorites. The petals look like swan feathers and the large, sturdy flowers open to reveal a golden center. These tulips and long lasting and paired perfectly with a range of soft pinks and purples. I am planting them again this fall!

I planted 20 Exotic Emperor in my front garden in Fall 2021. These were the first, the strongest, the longest-lasting, best performers of the entire year. They held their petals - so beautiful a mixture of white with bits of green accents - after they were done making it appear from the street that they were still blooming even longer. Wind and dryness didn’t faze them. I will be getting more. These bulbs from Longfield Gardens were a TOP performer.
