I recently relocated from California to Michigan. Growing dahlias has been awesome here. I’ve had dahlias for 3 months! They still look great. These pictures are from today, 9/28/23.

I think with the summer months so hot, and I planted them in the sun, they didn’t grow very well. Then we had a windy, rain storm that knocked into them even though I had staked them. Finally after another heavy wind storm, I cut them back, weather has cooled off some, and they’re finally growing again, and producing flowers. Just not as big as I thought they would be.

Not the best.

Many of the tubers were broken with no eye attached. Only got 3 plants to grow. Disappointing.
