Dahlia Waterlily Creme de Cassis

The plants are sturdy and the blooms are a medium size. Lavender on top and purple-maroon on the bottom. It was an early bloomer that has produced loads of blooms.

Over-wintered well. Beautiful blooms and plants.

I bought these bulbs at Costco. This summer was the first time I'd planted dahlia bulbs, and I bought them from 3 different sources. The Longfield varieties far outperformed the ones from the other two breeders! They bloomed quite abundantly and the plants stayed very healthy.

These are hands down my favorite dahlias. Gorgeous color & form, great for cutting, long sturdy stems as the plants mature and a nice habit to the plant when supported properly.

Creme de Cassis is a stunning flower. The color variation is beautiful--lavender pink on top, deeper burgundy on the bottom. Each plant has been a profuse producer of blooms. They are long lasting as cut flowers too--just add flower preservative to the water.

I planted these in an along the east side of our house, so the had morning sun and they performed amazingly. So many blooms all season.
