Breathtaking blooms!

Solar flare is seriously my new favorite dahlia variety, they are so incredible!!! Heavy producing, long vase life (I planted the tubers just this year from Longfield Gardens with plenty of homemade compost mixed into the soil and I always use flower food in the vase too). I don’t have a picture of them alone, just in grips with other varieties I have. I love that even though Solar Flare dahlias are red, orange and yellow, they often start out coral-pink colored, almost like flamingo feathers, my favorite animal. 🦩😁 Then as they sit in the vase a few days, the color changes to a bright yellow, I also ordered as pictured in my photos an orange Ben Huston, a Belle of Barmera, Labyrinth (another favorite!! 😍) and Otto’s Thrill…all AMAZING!!! I love giving them to friends, having bouquets on the kitchen table, my little daughters love playing wedding with them too, and it’s so special having the towering, bloom-laden plants all out for our neighbors to enjoy as well. (Definitely stake them for support!) I absolutely recommend them!!! Next year I’m ordering more colors, some purple, red, and some blush in a Cafe au Lait. Dahlias are the best!!

My second year growing this tuber, I have open blooms on June 21 in NY. Early prolific bloomer, good size flowers on nice long stems, great tuber producer too. Exactly like images.

This was a very prolific bloomer, literally hundreds of flowers over the course of the season. Great flowers with shades of orange and yellow that was great alone or in mixed bouquets. Long stems made it easy to use it arrangements.

Late beauty

Beautiful, striking ode to the solar flares! Deducted a couple stars since only one of two tubers made it to bloom and it took four months to get there.
