Dahlia Dinnerplate Belle of Barmera

I received this dahlia free with my order and wowza, it’s a beauty! I grow dahlias strictly for cutting - lots of compost, staking, and water —this is not a bedding plant! It’s cut and come again! Here’s a photo of it in the vase, perfect for a home cutting garden. Dinnerplates have a shorter vase life, but they’re well worth growing for their stunning show! Side note - received a healthy tuber clump.

Beautiful blooms

Bulbs arrived in April looking great. I planted in a pot and kept it on my dining room table until the end of May. I live in zone 6 and spring was nonexistent had to continually move in and out of the garage because of cold. Planted out in garden in June and it has just bloomed. It is stunning with tons of buds! Thrilled with this plant. 💖
