These dahlias in video were all received by longfield gardens and I cannot recommend them enough. Tubers healthy and absolutely beautiful. Now at the end of September 2025 and still blooming. Whaa? I didn't want to buy this dahlia because its name is obnoxios- a dozen letters, mostly vowels.. then it bloomed- What in the world is happening here! CRAZY BEAUTIFUL TREMENDOUS PURPLE FUNK GIANT!

if you only buy one dahlia this year- buy this one! Early bloomer on hard strong long stems I want to cut the first bloom and bring it inside- but it will take up my entire bathroom! No one believes its real, even attached to the plant. I have people who think Im lying and yank on it like its plastic- and it doesn't care. I didn't nip side blooms to maximize first bloom and its still 8" across easy. I have never seen a flower like this -Id need two people to carry it inside. Okay, Im being facetious, but not by a lot. its a stunner! Only complaint is it its huge size makes it a little bit downward facing- but I didn't stake it, and it must weigh a ton-puts peonys to shame! miracle the giant flower survived multiple sprays by the hose. Holding up a flower that big without any support? what else could you ask for? I want to clear the yard to make room for tie- ehh- hi- eeho- or however you pronounce that many vowels in a row.. Figure it out, because everyone will ask you: "What the [blank] IS THAT!" and where did you get it

None of them have bloomed yet, but I'm really pleased that all of them came up and are growing well.

If your dahlias are growing plenty of foliage but few blooms, it’s often due to factors like too much nitrogen, insufficient sunlight, limited airflow, or environmental stress. To help encourage flowering, ensure your dahlias are planted in full sun, watered regularly, and given a balanced fertilizer. Pretty bad.

This is the second time I’ve ordered from this company and did not receive the dahlia that I ordered :( I ordered this dahlia really looking forward to the pop of purple in the yard. What I received looks to be Mingus Alex dahlia. They are nothing comparable in color or size to each other. I’m not sure if their labeling process is getting mixed up or what, but it’s very disappointing.
