This adorable little dahlia may look pink at first glance, but what makes Burlesca so special is the way it also pulls in hints of peach, burgundy and violet. This makes it an excellent bridge flower for mixed bouquets. Like other pompon dahlias, the tight, 2" flower heads are durable and long-lasting. A must for any cutting garden.

Really not happy.

I order this variety and another pompon but both of them were star shaped. So disappointing because I was really looking forward to have pompon varieties. Their petals fall off right away.

Wrong variety

I ordered two Burlesca, and both of them were this star shaped flower, exactly like the other two posts. Clearly, there was a mix-up in labeling at the grower. I don’t hate them, but I would like to know what the name of this variety is.

Since the differences between varieties aren’t always visible until the plants bloom, we have no way of identifying the error ahead of time. Bummed that I ordered burlesca and I also received a different tuber. This is my first to flower this season so hopefully the others I ordered are correct.
